At last, they started spending their days in extreme. After two years, she became pregnant. She gave birth to two sons, but as ill luck would have it both died in an accident. Her husband also died after being bitten by a cobra. Weeping and wailing, the poor unlucky woman set out alone for Sr\u0101vast\u012b. Even before she could reach there, she learnt at the cremation ground that there was a storm and heavy rainfall the previous night, and that her father\u2019s seven storied building had collapsed. Her father, mother and brother were all crushed under the debris. Now she had no one in the world to call her own. Unable to bear the blow, she lost her mental balance and without any cloth on her person, started roaming in the streets of Sr\u0101vast\u012b.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<!-- \/wp:quote -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>H\u1ecd s\u1eed d\u1ee5ng d\u1ea7n d\u1ea7n nh\u1eefng c\u1ee7a c\u1ea3i tr\u1ed9m c\u1eafp t\u1eeb nh\u00e0 c\u00f4 g\u00e1i kia. Cu\u1ed1i c\u00f9ng, h\u1ecd b\u1eaft \u0111\u1ea7u tr\u1ea3i qua nh\u1eefng ng\u00e0y c\u1ef1c k\u00ec ngh\u00e8o kh\u00f3. Hai n\u0103m sau, c\u00f4 g\u00e1i mang thai. C\u00f4 sinh \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c hai ng\u01b0\u1eddi con trai, nh\u01b0ng th\u1eadt kh\u00f4ng may, c\u1ea3 hai \u0111\u1ec1u ch\u1ebft trong m\u1ed9t tai n\u1ea1n. Ch\u1ed3ng c\u00f4 c\u0169ng ch\u1ebft sau khi b\u1ecb r\u1eafn h\u1ed5 mang c\u1eafn. Kh\u00f3c l\u00f3c v\u00e0 g\u00e0o th\u00e9t, ng\u01b0\u1eddi ph\u1ee5 n\u1eef k\u00e9m may m\u1eafn m\u1ed9t m\u00ecnh l\u00ean \u0111\u01b0\u1eddng v\u1ec1 l\u1ea1i Sr\u0101vast\u012b. Ngay tr\u01b0\u1edbc khi c\u00f4 k\u1ecbp \u0111\u1ebfn n\u01a1i, c\u00f4 \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c cho hay t\u1ea1i n\u01a1i h\u1ecfa t\u00e1ng r\u1eb1ng c\u00f3 m\u1ed9t c\u01a1n b\u00e3o v\u00e0 m\u01b0a l\u1edbn v\u00e0o \u0111\u00eam h\u00f4m tr\u01b0\u1edbc, v\u00e0 chuy\u1ec7n t\u00f2a nh\u00e0 b\u1ea3y t\u1ea7ng c\u1ee7a cha c\u00f4 \u0111\u00e3 s\u1ee5p \u0111\u1ed5. Cha, m\u1eb9 v\u00e0 anh trai c\u00f4 \u0111\u1ec1u b\u1ecb nghi\u1ec1n n\u00e1t d\u01b0\u1edbi \u0111\u1ed1ng \u0111\u1ed5 n\u00e1t. B\u00e2y gi\u1edd c\u00f4 kh\u00f4ng c\u00f3 ai tr\u00ean th\u1ebf gi\u1edbi \u0111\u1ec3 n\u01b0\u01a1ng nh\u1edd. Kh\u00f4ng th\u1ec3 ch\u1ecbu n\u1ed5i c\u00fa s\u1ed1c, c\u00f4 m\u1ea5t th\u0103ng b\u1eb1ng tinh th\u1ea7n v\u00e0 kh\u00f4ng c\u00f3 b\u1ea5t k\u1ef3 m\u1ea3nh v\u1ea3i n\u00e0o tr\u00ean ng\u01b0\u1eddi, c\u00f4 b\u1eaft \u0111\u1ea7u rong ru\u1ed5i tr\u00ean \u0111\u01b0\u1eddng ph\u1ed1 Sr\u0101vast\u012b.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:quote -->\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>When she was in such a miserable state, one day, because of her previously accumulated p\u0101ram\u012bs, she passed by the Jetavana monastery, where the Buddha was preaching Dharma to the people. Listening to the words of Dharma, she came near the Lord. The Blessed One spoke compassionately to her, \u201cMy poor child! Come to your senses!\u201d His affectionate and kind words were full of nectar. As soon as she heard these words, she recovered some of her senses. She realized she was naked. Ashamed, she sat down drawing herself closer together. Someone, who was sitting close by and listening to Dharma, put his shawl over her. Since then, the poor woman was known as \u201cthe one covered with a shawl\u201d i.e. \u201cPa\u1e6d\u0101c\u0101r\u0101\u201d. She sought refuge in the Buddha. The Buddha assured her, \u201cChild, take refuge in the Dharma. Dharma will give you true refuge.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<!-- \/wp:quote -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Khi c\u00f4 \u1ea5y \u1edf trong t\u00ecnh tr\u1ea1ng kh\u1ed1n kh\u1ed5 nh\u01b0 th\u1ebf, m\u1ed9t ng\u00e0y n\u1ecd, do nh\u1eefng t\u00edch l\u0169y p\u0101ram\u012bs t\u1eeb tr\u01b0\u1edbc, c\u00f4 \u1ea5y \u0111\u00e3 \u0111i ngang qua tu vi\u1ec7n Jetavana, n\u01a1i \u0110\u1ee9c Ph\u1eadt \u0111ang thuy\u1ebft ph\u00e1p cho m\u1ecdi ng\u01b0\u1eddi. L\u1eafng nghe nh\u1eefng l\u1eddi c\u1ee7a Gi\u00e1o Ph\u00e1p, c\u00f4 \u1ea5y \u0111\u1ebfn g\u1ea7n Ng\u00e0i. \u0110\u1ee9c Th\u1ebf T\u00f4n n\u00f3i v\u1edbi c\u00f4: \u201c\u0110\u1ee9a con t\u1ed9i nghi\u1ec7p c\u1ee7a ta! H\u00e3y \u0111\u1ebfn \u0111\u00e2y v\u1edbi s\u1ef1 t\u1ec9nh t\u00e1o!\u201d Nh\u1eefng l\u1eddi tr\u00ecu m\u1ebfn v\u00e0 t\u1eed t\u1ebf c\u1ee7a Ng\u00e0i \u0111\u1ea7y m\u1eadt ng\u1ecdt. Ngay khi nghe nh\u1eefng l\u1eddi n\u00e0y, c\u00f4 \u0111\u00e3 ph\u1ee5c h\u1ed3i m\u1ed9t s\u1ed1 gi\u00e1c quan c\u1ee7a m\u00ecnh. C\u00f4 nh\u1eadn ra m\u00ecnh \u0111ang kh\u1ecfa th\u00e2n. L\u1ea5y l\u00e0m x\u1ea5u h\u1ed5, c\u00f4 g\u00e1i ng\u1ed3i xu\u1ed1ng thu m\u00ecnh l\u1ea1i g\u1ea7n h\u01a1n. Ai \u0111\u00f3, ng\u01b0\u1eddi ng\u1ed3i g\u1ea7n b\u00ean v\u00e0 l\u1eafng nghe Gi\u00e1o Ph\u00e1p, cho\u00e0ng chi\u1ebfc kh\u0103n c\u1ee7a anh cho c\u00f4 g\u00e1i. K\u1ec3 t\u1eeb \u0111\u00f3, ng\u01b0\u1eddi ph\u1ee5 n\u1eef t\u1ed9i nghi\u1ec7p n\u00e0y \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c g\u1ecdi l\u00e0 \u201cng\u01b0\u1eddi \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c che ch\u1edf b\u1eb1ng kh\u0103n cho\u00e0ng\u201d t\u1ee9c l\u00e0 \u201cPa\u1e6d\u0101c\u0101r\u0101\u201d. C\u00f4 t\u00ecm n\u01a1i n\u01b0\u01a1ng t\u1ef1a Ph\u1eadt. \u0110\u1ee9c Ph\u1eadt x\u00e1c t\u00edn v\u1edbi r\u1eb1ng c\u00f4: \u201cCon ta, h\u00e3y n\u01b0\u01a1ng t\u1ef1a v\u00e0o Gi\u00e1o Ph\u00e1p. Gi\u00e1o Ph\u00e1p s\u1ebd cho con n\u01b0\u01a1ng t\u1ef1a th\u1eadt s\u1ef1.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:quote -->\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>Hearing the words of pure Dharma from the Lord, her mind became concentrated and she began to practice Vipassana. As a result of her past P\u0101ram\u012bs, she became a stream enterer (srot\u0101panna) then and there, The Blessed One got her ordained.
