heard,<br\/>face-to-face I learnt:<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"f4\">&#8216;I \u0100nanda,<br\/>through abiding in (the concept of) emptiness,<br\/>am now abiding in the fullness thereof.&#8217;<span elephants,<br\/>cows,<br\/>horses<br\/>and mares,<br\/>empty of gold and silver,<br\/>empty of assemblages of men and women,<br\/>and there is only this that is not emptiness,<br\/>that is to say<br\/>the solitude<span class=\"f1\"><sup>[<a id=\"fn2\" href=\"#n2\">2<\/a>]<\/sup><\/span> grounded on the Order of monks;<span class=\"f1\"><sup>[<a id=\"fn3\" stretched on a hundred pegs,<br\/>its virtue gone.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"f4\">Even so, \u0100nanda, a monk,<br\/>not attending to anything on this earth:<br\/>dry land and swamps,<span thorns,<br\/>hills and plains,<br\/>attends to solitude<br\/>grounded on the perception of earth.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"f4\">His mind is satisfied with,<br\/>pleased with,<br\/>set on<br\/>and
